Suno v6 is the model generation Suno announced on September 9, 2026. It is the first time Suno shipped three models at once - v6, v6-wild and v6-mini - instead of a single flagship, and Suno has said it is retiring the models that came before it.
V6 is the flagship and the most reliable of the three. V6 Wild is deliberately less predictable and is meant for exploration, with results you can take back into V6 to refine. V6 Mini is the lightweight, fast tier and is the one Suno makes free to everyone.
V6 Mini is the default and is available on every account. V6 and V6 Wild require a Pro plan. Credits are charged for all three tiers.
Every tier costs 9 credits per generation - V6 Mini, V6 and V6 Wild alike. A single generation returns two track variations, so the cost covers both.
In custom mode you can set a duration between 10 and 360 seconds; the API uses 20 seconds when the field is left unset. The duration field is only honoured in custom mode.
Custom mode accepts up to 5000 characters of lyrics in the prompt field, up to 1000 characters of style tags and a title of up to 80 characters.
They are discontinued. Suno retired every model that came before v6, and older version values are mapped onto the v6 generation, which is why only the three live tiers are offered here.
Suno says v6 is not trained on the data used for previous versions and that it was built with industry partners including Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe.
