No. The resizing runs in your browser with the HTML canvas API, so your files never leave your device. You can check it yourself: open DevTools, switch to the Network tab and resize an image - no request carries your file. It even works after you go offline.

JPG, PNG and WebP work everywhere. AVIF, BMP and GIF also work as long as your browser can decode them, and a GIF is resized as its first frame. Output is JPEG, PNG or WebP - choose 'Keep original' and anything the browser cannot write is saved as PNG.

Up to 50 MB per image, and up to 30 images per batch. Very large photos are processed one at a time, so a 40-megapixel file may take a few seconds and will use a lot of memory on an older phone. If a file is skipped, the tool tells you why.

Shrinking by more than half is done in repeated halving steps with high-quality smoothing, which keeps edges and text far cleaner than a single big jump. Enlarging is different: above 100% the pixels are interpolated, so the image gets bigger but not sharper.

You decide. 'Crop to fill' centres the image and trims the overflow, which is the default for social presets. 'Fit inside and pad' keeps the whole image and fills the rest with a colour of your choice or transparency. 'Stretch' forces both sides and will distort the picture.
