AI Style Short Film

One or two sentences of what happens — who is in frame, what changes, where the beat lands. You do not need lens, lighting or colour notes, because the style preset supplies the camera language, the key light and the grade. A scene line plus a style is the whole required input; the opening still is optional.

Each one is a camera-and-grade recipe. K-Drama Rescue: warm skin tones against a cool background, a soft diffused key, long lenses with creamy bokeh, slow push-ins on faces and a held beat of silence before the turn. Cyberpunk Chase: rain-slick neon streets, magenta and cyan practicals, anamorphic flares, a handheld camera running with the action, whip pans and hard cuts on movement. Symmetrical Storybook: dead-centre compositions, flat frontal staging, a pastel palette, precise 90-degree whip pans and snap zooms. Chinese Ink Fantasy: monochrome ink tones with one accent colour, mist and negative space, brush-stroke textures bleeding at the edges, a slow drifting camera. Space Survival: harsh single-source light against deep black, visible dust and breath vapour, a slow drifting weightless camera, muted desaturated colour and long held wides. They are shooting recipes, not imitations of any named film or film-maker.

8 to 15 seconds, with 8 as the default. This template starts at 8 rather than the usual 4 because a style piece needs a beginning, a turn and an ending — anything shorter lands as a fragment. You also choose 480p or 720p (720p by default), an aspect ratio of 16:9, 21:9 or 9:16, and whether to generate audio, which is on by default.

Two engines sit behind this template and the still decides which one you get. Text only goes to Seedance 2.5 text-to-video on WaveSpeed. Add an opening still and it switches to Seedance 2.5 reference-to-video on fal, where your frame becomes the first shot and its characters, wardrobe and location carry through the clip. There is no engine selector — the still picks for you.

One credit is one US cent of provider cost, rounded up, and only generated seconds are billed. From text alone it is 36 credits a second at 720p and 18 at 480p, so 8 seconds at 720p is 288 credits, 15 seconds is 540, and 8 seconds at 480p is 144. With an opening still the rate is 48 a second at 720p and 23 at 480p — 8 seconds at 720p is 384 credits, or 184 at 480p. The still itself is a free reference on either route, and the exact cost is shown before you generate.

Every render is held to one continuous scene, with no title cards and no on-screen text, so there is nothing to work around in the edit. It also rules out recognisable real people and real brand names: write your characters as characters rather than as a named celebrity, and describe a product instead of naming one. If you want titles, a logo or a cut between scenes, add them in an editor afterwards.
