TL;DR
The AI Portrait Fixer cleans up the small things that spoil a good portrait: glasses glare, the glasses themselves, closed eyes, oily shine, stray hairs and braces. You upload one photo, switch on any combination of six fixes, and get one image back with your face, expression and lighting kept. It costs from 5 credits per image, and the price does not change with the number of fixes.
What Is the AI Portrait Fixer?
The AI Portrait Fixer is an all-in-one retouching tool for a single portrait. It fixes six common flaws, and you choose which ones. Everything you switch on is handled in the same pass, so one upload gives you one finished photo.
It exists because real photos rarely have just one problem. A group dinner shot might have a blink and a shiny forehead. A work headshot might have glare on the glasses and a few flyaway hairs. Running the same photo through several tools takes longer and softens it a little each time.
Each edit starts from the same instruction: keep the person's facial structure, features, skin tone and expression, and leave everything outside the fix as it was, including the background, lighting and composition.
What Can It Fix in One Pass?
There are six switches. All of them are off by default, so nothing changes unless you turn it on.
- Remove Glasses Glare (Standard or Strong): clears reflections on the lenses and restores clear eyes behind them while the frames stay on. Standard keeps a faint natural reflection. Strong is for bright glare that hides the eyes.
- Remove Glasses: takes the glasses off and rebuilds natural eyes and eyebrows, with no frame shadows or marks left.
- Open Closed Eyes: replaces a blink with naturally open eyes looking at the camera, keeping eye spacing, face shape and skin tone.
- Remove Face Shine: tones down oily highlights on the forehead, nose and cheeks, keeping pores, freckles and the original light direction.
- Remove Stray Hair: cleans flyaway hairs across the face and tidies hair edges without changing your hairstyle, eyebrows or forehead.
- Remove Braces: removes brackets and wires and shows natural teeth, keeping your smile shape, lips and gums.
How Do You Fix a Portrait Step by Step?
- Upload one portrait as a JPG or PNG. A clear, in-focus face gives the model the most to work with.
- Turn on the fixes this photo needs. Leave the rest off.
- Keep the default model, Nano Banana 2.1 Edit, or pick another one from the list.
- Choose 1K, or 2K or 4K if you are a Pro member. The credit cost appears before you start.
- Generate, then compare the result with your original at full size, paying attention to the eyes and teeth.
- If one fix looks wrong, run it again with that fix off or with another model, then download the version you like.
Which Fixes Can You Combine?
Almost all of them. The one exception is glasses: Remove Glasses and Remove Glasses Glare share one slot. If Remove Glasses is on, the glare setting is ignored, because there are no lenses left to clean.
Some combinations that tend to come up:
- Group or event photo of you: Open Closed Eyes plus Remove Face Shine.
- Work headshot with glasses: Remove Glasses Glare (Standard) plus Remove Stray Hair.
- Outdoor shot with flash glare: Remove Glasses Glare (Strong) plus Remove Face Shine.
- Smile photo during orthodontic treatment: Remove Braces, plus Open Closed Eyes if you blinked.
- Glasses-free preview: Remove Glasses plus Remove Stray Hair for a clean look.
Turn on only what you need. Every extra fix is one more area the model edits, and the fewer changes it makes, the closer the result stays to the original.
Which Model and Resolution Should You Pick?
Credits depend on the model and the resolution, not on how many fixes are on. 1K is open to everyone; 2K and 4K need a Pro membership. The exact price shows before you generate, and failed tasks are refunded automatically.
| Model | 1K | 2K (Pro) | 4K (Pro) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nano Banana 2.1 Edit (default) | 10 | 15 | 20 |
| Nano Banana Pro Edit | 14 | 14 | 24 |
| Seedream 5.0 Lite Edit | 5 | 8 | 8 |
| Seedream 5.0 Pro Edit | 9 | 18 | 18 |
| Qwen Image 3.0 Pro Edit | 10 | 10 | 10 |
| Wan 2.7 Image Edit Pro | 10 | 10 | 10 |
Nano Banana 2.1 Edit is the default and a good first try for most portraits. If its result is not right, Nano Banana Pro Edit is the higher-tier alternative from the same family. Seedream 5.0 Lite Edit is the cheapest way to test a photo, at 5 credits.
Not every model renders at every size. Only the two Nano Banana models produce true 4K. The Seedream models top out at 2K, which is why their 2K and 4K prices match. Qwen Image 3.0 Pro Edit and Wan 2.7 Image Edit Pro return their native size whatever you select, at a flat 10 credits.
How Do You Get a Natural Result?
- Start with a sharp photo: the fixer cleans flaws, it does not rescue a blurry or very small face.
- Face the camera: front-facing or slightly angled portraits give the most accurate eyes, especially for Open Closed Eyes and Remove Glasses.
- One person per photo: crop group shots down to the person you want to fix.
- Skip heavy filters: beauty filters and strong compression make it harder to keep real skin texture.
- Pick the lighter glare level first: try Standard, and move to Strong only if reflections still cover the eyes.
- Check the eyes and teeth up close: these are the areas the AI rebuilds, so they are where to look before you download.
What Won't the Portrait Fixer Do?
It is a retouching tool, not a face changer. It does not reshape your face, change your age or swap backgrounds, and the skin fix is deliberately subtle rather than a smoothing filter.
Opened eyes and the eyes behind removed glasses are reconstructed, so they are a close estimate rather than a copy of your real eyes. For passports and other ID documents, check the official photo rules first: many do not accept retouched photos.
Upload only your own photos or photos of people who agreed to the edit, never strangers or celebrities.
