Yes. There is no account, no trial, no export cap and no watermark on the clip you download. You can trim as many videos as you like — the only real limit is how much memory your device has.

No. The file is read from your disk with the browser's File API and cut with WebCodecs on your own machine. If you want to check, open DevTools, switch to the Network tab and trim a clip: you will not see a single request carrying your video.

MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI, as long as your browser can decode the codec inside — that covers H.264, HEVC on most Macs, VP9 and AV1. You can save the result as MP4 (the default) or WebM.

The tool accepts files up to 2 GB. Above roughly 500 MB it warns you first, because the trimmed clip is assembled in memory: on a laptop with plenty of RAM a 1 GB source is fine, on an older phone it may not be. A shorter selection always costs less memory than a long one.

Not bit-for-bit, and we would rather say so. The selected part is re-encoded with your device's hardware video encoder through WebCodecs, which is what makes it fast, so the result is a fresh encode rather than a stream copy. In exchange you get a frame-accurate cut anywhere you like instead of being pushed to the nearest keyframe. For normal social clips the difference is not visible.

One at a time, on purpose. Video decoding and encoding are memory-hungry, and running a batch in a browser tab is the fastest way to crash it. When a clip is done, press "Trim another" and the next one starts with a clean slate.

The page works on phones and tablets, and trimming itself works wherever WebCodecs does — iOS 17 and later, and current Chrome on Android. Keep the clip short: phones run out of memory much sooner than laptops, and the tab must stay open while the clip is written.

Yes. Turn on "Remove audio" before trimming and the audio track is left out of the output entirely. It is handy for silent background loops, and it makes the file noticeably smaller.
