Light keeps most of your real features and only smooths skin, adds outlines and flattens shading, so friends still recognize you instantly. Medium is the default and gives a balanced storybook look. Strong simplifies much more and exaggerates features like eyes and smiles, which is fun for avatars but drifts further from your actual face. The color setting is separate: Natural keeps real tones, Vibrant boosts saturation and contrast, Cheerful pushes warm, bright colors.

Yes. The prompt keeps the composition, proportions and expressions of whoever is in the photo, so dogs, cats, couples and family shots all come out as cartoons in the same arrangement. Backgrounds are kept but simplified into flat color blocks. In big group photos, small faces at the back get simplified heavily, so a photo where each person's face is reasonably large works better. You can upload one image per generation.

Usually the face is too small, side-lit or partly hidden by hair, sunglasses or a hand. Use a front-facing photo where your face fills a good part of the frame, then switch to Light style, which changes the least. The output is always square, so tall phone photos get reframed; crop to roughly square around your face before uploading. Only JPG and PNG are accepted, so convert HEIC or WebP files first.

Each generation costs 8 credits and runs on GPT Image 2.5 (listed as GPT-Image 2.5 Flare Edit App), the only model offered here. New accounts get 10 free credits at signup, and the daily check-in adds 2 to 6 more that expire after 3 days, so your first cartoon is covered. Every retry with a different style or color setting costs another 8 credits.

Generally yes. People use the results as profile pictures, on printed gifts, in newsletters and on small business pages. You are responsible for having the rights to the photo you upload, and for getting permission when other people are in it. If the photo shows logos, brand mascots or well-known characters, those stay third-party property even in cartoon form. We can't give legal guarantees for every use.
