Real extensions depend on how well the color and density match your own hair, which a photo edit skips over. Bring the result to your stylist as a reference and ask what is realistic for your hair.
It works, with one caveat. The style the template aims for is soft, flowing and polished, so men often get a prettier, more feminine look than a rugged longer cut. Some people love that, others find it off. If you want a long but casual look, try a couple of runs and both models, and pick the one that still feels like you.
No, and it would be misleading to say so. Your real hair will grow at its own pace with its own texture, cowlicks and in-between stages. What the filter shows is a finished, salon-perfect version of long hair on your face. Many people use it as motivation during the awkward months, which is a perfectly good reason to try it.
The template leans toward silky, flowing hair, so tight curls are often loosened or smoothed out in the result. If keeping your curl pattern matters, treat the image as a length preview rather than a texture preview.
