There is no strength slider, so the filter decides the amount. Expect a clearly fuller face, rounder cheeks, a softer jawline and a wider body wherever the body is in frame. The face should stay recognizable, because the goal is a believable 'what if' version of the same person, not a cartoon. Each run comes out a little different, so generating twice gives you two takes to choose from.

Both work, with different results. A head-and-shoulders selfie mostly changes the face, chin and neck. A waist-up or full-body photo also lets the filter change the arms, belly and overall silhouette, which usually looks more convincing. Pick a photo with even lighting and clothes that are not too baggy, so the AI can see the body shape it is adjusting.

The fat filter runs on GPT Image 2.5 only, at a fixed 8 credits per image, so there is nothing to choose. The result comes back as a square image, so leave some space around the person in tall photos. New accounts start with 10 free credits and the daily check-in adds 2 to 6 more, which is enough to try it before paying. Check-in credits expire after 3 days.

Treat it like a fat suit at a costume party: fine with people who are in on the joke. Ask before uploading someone else's photo, and don't post results meant to mock anyone's real body or weight. Most people use it on their own selfie, for a 'me after the holidays' post or a side-by-side gag with friends who all ran their own photos.

Not in any reliable way. The filter produces a plausible-looking image, not a health or body-composition prediction. It doesn't know your height, your current weight or where your body tends to store fat, so the result is closer to a costume preview than a forecast.
