Light Curls gives loose curls and soft waves, close to a beach-wave look. Medium Curls, the default, gives defined spiral curls with moderate bounce. Strong Curls makes tight, well-defined curls with the most texture. If you have straight hair and want a believable preview of a perm, start with Light or Medium. Strong is a much bigger change and looks most convincing on hair that reaches the chin or longer.

Natural Volume tries to keep your current density, though curls always take up a bit more space than straight hair, so expect some extra fullness anyway. Voluminous makes the hair dramatically fuller and wider around the face, which suits a big 70s look. Bouncy keeps the size closer to natural but adds spring and movement to each curl. For a realistic salon preview, Natural Volume is the safest choice.

It runs, but the result is less useful. Short hair has little length to curl, so the model either packs tight curls close to the head or invents extra length. Pixie cuts and buzz cuts often come back noticeably longer than they really are. You get the most realistic results from chin-length hair and longer. If your hair is short, try Light Curls with Natural Volume and expect a re-run or two.

Only the hair is meant to change, and in most results the face, clothes and background look the same. The instructions focus on curl shape and volume and do not lock your hair colour, so the shade usually follows the original but can shift a little, especially with highlights or dyed ends. Hats and clips may be redrawn. If the face or colour drifts, re-run once or switch to the other model.
