Modern Anime is the default and gives clean digital shading like a current TV series. Classic Anime leans toward older cel animation with flatter colors and simpler highlights. Kawaii Style pushes softer pastels, rounder faces and a cuter expression. Cyberpunk Anime adds neon light and a night-city mood. You can also type your own style in the field (up to 50 characters), for example "90s shoujo" or "watercolor anime".

GPT Image 2.5 costs 8 credits per image and usually gives the more polished anime look, with cleaner line art and glossier hair. It always returns a square image. Nano Banana 2.1 costs 4 credits and is not locked to a square crop, so it is the better pick for tall or wide photos and a cheap way to test a picture first. New accounts get 10 free credits, enough for a few tries.

The filter keeps your pose, expression, hairstyle and clothing, but it deliberately exaggerates some features: bigger eyes, smoother porcelain-like skin and a simplified nose and mouth. Freckles, scars and fine wrinkles usually disappear. Glasses, hair color, bangs and accessories are what make the result recognizable, so keep them visible in the photo. If the face drifts too far from yours, run it again or switch models.

It is tuned for one person with a clearly visible face; the prompt focuses on facial features and blurs or simplifies the background. Pets do get an anime treatment, but they look more like a cartoon animal than a character. In group photos, faces further from the camera come out smaller and less detailed. Crop to one or two people and upload a JPG or PNG where the face fills a good part of the frame.

You can use your results as an avatar, on social media or in your own projects, and you can generally use them commercially. You are responsible for the rights to the photo you upload, so only convert pictures of other people with their permission. If you type a custom style that names a specific anime series or character, be careful with commercial use, because that franchise's designs belong to its owners.
