Oil Painting adds rich texture and visible brushstrokes, like a canvas portrait. Watercolor uses soft, transparent washes and color that bleeds at the edges. Digital Painting, the default, gives a clean, polished illustration with bright detail. Concept Art goes further: dramatic lighting and a more imaginative, cinematic composition, so the scene can change more than in the other styles.

The template always outputs a square image. If your photo is tall or wide, the AI recomposes it to fit, so the edges may be trimmed or repainted. Usually, yes, but this is an artistic interpretation, not a filter that traces every pixel. Face shape, hair and clothing colors carry over, while small details get simplified into brushwork. Watercolor and Concept Art take the most liberties. If a result drifts too far, run it again or switch to Digital Painting, which stays closest to the original.
